10/4/06-A bill that would have added tolls for certain drivers in Northern Virginia has died.
Sponsored by Delegate William Fralin, R-Roanoke, HB5089 remained in the House Transportation Committee at the deadline to advance from the chamber.
The bill required that the Commonwealth Transportation Board designate any high-occupancy vehicle lanes, or HOV lanes, along such roadways as Interstates 95 and 395 as high-occupancy toll lanes, or HOT lanes.
9/25/06-A bill expected to draw consideration during the four-day special session on transportation that starts Wednesday, Sept. 27, would add tolls for certain drivers in Northern Virginia.
