9/27/06-A bill has died that would have created a special transportation fund for Northern Virginia.
Sponsored by Sen. Jeannemarie Devolites Davis, R-Vienna, SB5016 was unanimously defeated in the House Finance Committee.
The bill would have allowed localities to tap higher fees and taxes for transportation improvements.
