4/19/07-A bill died that would have prohibited drivers under age 18 from using any mobile device.
Sponsored by Sen. Kim Hendren, R-Gravette, SB19 would have allowed young drivers stopped for another offense who are found to be in violation of the proposed rule to get off with a warning. Repeat offenders would have faced $50 fines. The bill included exemptions for emergency calls.

1/12/07-A bill in the Senate Transportation, Technology & Legislative Affairs Committee would prohibit drivers under age 18 from using any mobile device.
