Sponsored by Sen. Bob Burns, R-Peoria, SB1049 called for taking $450 million from the fund and using it to speed up needed road projects throughout the state. It didn't include a provision to replace the money.

Sponsored by Sen. Bob Burns, R-Peoria, SB1049 has passed out of the Senate Appropriations and Transportation committees on its way to the chamber floor.
The bill would take $450 million from the fund and use it speed up needed road projects throughout the state. It doesn't include a provision to replace the money.
