9/20/07-The Colorado State Patrol is expected to ask state lawmakers to increase state fines for moving violations in an effort to make roadways safer.
The state now has $50 fines for driving 15 mph in excess of the speed limit. Careless driving fines also are $50.
No changes are expected to be pursued for the state’s points system.
