5/9/07-A bill has died that would have allowed cameras to be posted throughout the state to nab red light runners.
Sponsored by Rep. Ron Reagan, R-Bradenton, HB1247 remained in the House Policy and Budget Council when the session ended, effectively killing it for the year.
The bill would have allowed cities and counties to install the cameras at intersections. Vehicle owners would have faced $125 fines.

4/25/07-The House Economic Expansion and Infrastructure Council voted 14-0 to approve a bill that would allow cameras to be posted throughout the state to nab red light runners.
Sponsored by Rep. Ron Reagan, R-Bradenton, HB1247 would allow cities and counties to install the cameras at intersections. Vehicle owners would face $125 fines.
The bill has been forwarded to Policy & Budget Council.
