5/10/07-A bill has died that would have allowed certain truckers access to high-occupancy vehicle lanes.
Sponsored by Sen. Steve Geller, D-Hallandale Beach, S200 remained in the Senate Transportation Committee when the session ended, effectively killing it for the year.
The bill would have authorized any vehicle, including light-duty trucks, fueled by biodiesel or natural gas to use the special lanes.
An identical House bill - HB141 - met a similar fate.

12/28/06-Sen. Steve Geller, D-Hallandale Beach, has filed a bill that would allow certain truckers access to high-occupancy vehicle lanes.
S200 would authorize any vehicle, including light-duty trucks, fueled by biodiesel or natural gas to use the special lanes.
The effort is awaiting assignment to a committee for consideration during the session that begins in March.
