6/29/07-A bill died in the House Transportation Committee that sought to redirect money from the state treasury to transportation.
Sponsored by Rep. Joel Robideaux, I-Lafayette, HB165 would have given parishes more say in how they spend the money directed to them. The only requirement would have been the projects are included in the state’s priority program.
The bill didn’t include a sunset date.
