4/24/07-A bill has died that would have prohibited administrative penalties at the local level.
Sponsored by Rep. Tony Cornish, R-Good Thunder, HF656 remained in the House Local Government and Metropolitan Affairs Committee at a deadline to advance, effectively killing it for the year.
The bill would have ended the practice of issuing administrative fines for minor violations instead of state tickets.
The Senate version of the bill - SF155 - met the same fate.
