2/1/07-A bill has died that would have permitted police to ticket drivers who fail to flip on their headlights during bad weather.
Sponsored by Rep. Rita Martinson, R-Madison, HB111 remained in the House Transportation Committee at the deadline to advance to the chamber floor.
The bill required lights to be on "whenever precipitation necessitates the use of windshield wipers." Violators would have faced $25 fines.
