2/1/07-A bill has died that was intended to prevent slower moving vehicles from blocking the normal flow of traffic.
Sponsored by Rep. Eric Robinson, R-Quitman, HB517 remained in the House Transportation Committee at the deadline to advance to the House floor, effectively killing it for the year.
The bill would have authorized troopers to ticket drivers who go too slowly in the far left-hand lane of multilane highways in the state. The bill didn't specify a fine amount.
