2/1/07-A bill has died that called for the Mississippi Department of Transportation to expand a stretch of state Route 25.
Sponsored by Rep. Clayton Smith, R-Brandon, HB978 remained in the House Transportation Committee at the deadline to advance to the chamber floor, effectively killing it for the year.
The bill required the department to expand to three lanes in each direction a portion of the highway in Rankin County.
