2/1/07-A bill has died that would have permitted police to ticket drivers who fail to flip on their headlights during bad weather.
Sponsored by Sen. Sidney Albritton, R-Picayune, SB2423 remained in the Senate Highways and Transportation Committee at the deadline to advance to the chamber floor.
The bill required lights to be on "whenever precipitation necessitates the use of windshield wipers." Violators would have faced $25 fines.
