6/6/07-Gov. Brad Henry has signed a bill into law to identify Oklahoma's worst sex offenders on their driver's licenses.
The new law, previously SB35, requires aggravated or habitual offenders to obtain a new license bearing the words "sex offender." For those who fail to comply could have their license canceled for one year and be fined up to $200.
5/25/07-The House and Senate reached agreement on a bill that would identify the state's worst sex offenders on their driver's licenses. The action clears the way for the bill to move to Gov. Brad Henry's desk.

4/25/07-The House Judiciary and Public Safety Committee approved a bill that would identify registered sex offenders on their state driver's licenses.
Sponsored by Sen. Brian Crain, R-Tulsa, SB35 would require convicted sex offenders to obtain a new license stating their status as a sex offender. For those who fail to comply they could have their license canceled for one year and be fined up to $200.
The bill now heads to the House floor for further consideration. The Senate already approved it.
