PA TRUCKERS – STOP TOLLS FOR I-80!

As you know, the Pennsylvania Legislature passed a bill in July that would add tolls to Interstate 80. Gov. Ed Rendell signed the bill into law.

In response, U.S. Rep. John Peterson, R-PA, authored and introduced the I-80 amendment to the House FY2008 transportation appropriations bill that would prohibit federal funds from being used to establish or collect tolls on I-80.

Rep. Peterson went to bat for truckers and now it’s time to show our support for his efforts and for keeping tolls off I-80!

There will be a press conference at noon, Monday, Sept. 24, on the steps of the Pennsylvania Capitol in Harrisburg. Those interested in participating in the event will meet at 11 a.m. at the Travel Centers of America in Harrisburg at I-81 and State Route 39.

Transportation will be provided to the Capitol at 11:30 a.m. Please plan to attend if at all possible. We need to support those who support us!
