6/4/07-A bill has died that would have prohibited the Texas Department of Transportation from buying land or issuing contracts for the Trans-Texas Corridor project. The corridor plan calls for private contractors to build and operate billions of dollars of toll roads in the state.
HB857 was sponsored by Rep. David Leibowitz, D-San Antonio.

2/16/07-A bill in the House Transportation Committee would prohibit the Texas Department of Transportation from buying land or issuing contracts for the Trans-Texas Corridor project. The corridor plan calls for private contractors to build and operate billions of dollars of toll roads in the state.
