6/18/07-Gov. Rick Perry signed a bill into law that relates to the construction of cattle guards on county roads.
Texas law now only permits counties with populations of less than 60,000 to construction cattle guards on county roads.
The new law, previously SB66, removes the population limit. It takes effect Sept. 1.

6/5/07-The House approved a bill that relates to the construction of cattle guards on county roads. The bill has been sent to Gov. Rick Perry's desk. The Senate previously approved it.
Texas law now only permits counties with populations of less than 60,000 to construction cattle guards on county roads.
Sponsored by Sen. Judith Zaffirini, D-Laredo, SB66 would remove the population limit.

5/1/07-The House County Affairs Committee approved a bill that relates to the construction of cattle guards on county roads.
Texas law now only permits counties with populations of less than 60,000 to construction cattle guards on county roads.
Sponsored by Sen. Judith Zaffirini, D-Laredo, SB66 would remove the population limit.
The bill has advanced to the House Local and Consent Committee. The Senate previously approved it.

3/27/07-The Senate unanimously approved a bill that relates to the construction of cattle guards on county roads. It's been forwarded to the House for further consideration.
