3/14/07-Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. has signed a bill intended to help the Utah Department of Transportation identify different improvements to traffic routes, as well as possible construction of a new freeway.
Sponsored by Rep. Becky Lockhart, R-Provo, HB108 allots $3.5 million to UDOT to study east-west transportation in Salt Lake and other urban counties throughout the state.
3/9/07-A bill headed to Gov. Jon Huntsman's desk is intended to help the Utah Department of Transportation identify different improvements to traffic routes, as well as possible construction of a new freeway.
Sponsored by Rep. Becky Lockhart, R-Provo, HB108 would allot $3.5 million to UDOT to study east-west transportation in Salt Lake County. A previous version allotted $1.5 million.
It would earmark another $50,000 for UDOT to study and identify other transportation needs throughout the state.

2/12/07-A bill awaiting consideration on the Senate floor is intended to help the Utah Department of Transportation identify different improvements to traffic routes, as well as possible construction of a new freeway. The House already approved it.
Sponsored by Rep. Ron Bigelow, R-West Valley City, HB108 would allot $1.5 million to UDOT to study east-west transportation in Salt Lake County.
It would earmark another $50,000 for UDOT to study and identify other transportation needs throughout the state.
