2/16/07-A bill has died that would have increased the amount of the state sales tax dedicated to transportation.
Sponsored by Delegate Scott Lingamfelter, R-Woodbridge, HB1703 remained in the House Appropriations Committee at the deadline to advance to the chamber floor, effectively killing it.
The bill would have increased the amount allotted to transportation from half a percent to three-fourths of a percent.
