2/7/07-A bill has died that would have made violation of the various restrictions for drivers under age 19, such as passenger and curfew limitations, primary offenses.
Existing state law requires offenders be pulled over for another offense before being ticketed for an age restriction.
Sponsored by Sen. Jay O'Brien, R-Clifton, SB1040 remained in the Senate Transportation Committee at the deadline to advance to the chamber floor, effectively killing it for the year.
