6/4/07-A bill has died in the House would have barred drivers from doing just about anything other than steering the vehicle.
Sponsored by Rep. Thomas Koch, R-Barre, H126 would have prohibited such activities as eating, drinking, smoking, reading, writing, playing a musical instrument and talking on the phone while driving. Violators would have faced $600 fines.
