1/29/07-The House Revenue Committee voted 5-4 to kill a bill that would have increased the state's excise tax on fuel.
HB184 added 5 cents to the state's 14-cent-per-gallon tax on gas and diesel. To offset the hit to taxpayers' pockets, the measure called for a price break on vehicle registration fees.
