5/29/08-Gov. Sarah Palin has signed a bill into law that allows the state  to ask voters to decide whether to borrow $315 million for road work around the state.
As introduced, the general obligation bond package – HB314 – called for a $140 million transportation bond package. House lawmakers added $80 million to the bundle. The Senate followed suit with another $95 million.

5/1/08-The Legislature has approved a bill that would ask voters to decide whether to borrow $315 million for road work around the state.
The general obligation bond package was introduced by Gov. Sarah Palin. At the time, the bill – HB314 – called for a $140 million transportation bond package. House lawmakers added $80 million to the bundle. The Senate followed suit with another $95 million.
