6/2/08-A bill has died that sought to promote toll roads as an option to fund road work.
Sponsored by Rep. Thad McClammy, D-Montgomery, HB101 was awaiting consideration on the Senate floor when the regular session ended, effectively killing it for the year. The House previously approved it.
The bill would have authorized the creation of a toll road, bridge and tunnel authority for Montgomery County.
4/14/08-The Senate Governmental Affairs Committee approved a bill that would promote toll roads as an option to fund road work.
Sponsored by Rep. Thad McClammy, D-Montgomery, HB101 would authorize the creation of a toll road, bridge and tunnel authority for Montgomery County.
The bill is awaiting consideration on the Senate floor. The House previously approved it.
