5/29/08-A bill has died that sought to increase the maximum gross vehicle, axle, tandem or bridge formula weight limits for large trucks equipped with idle reduction technology.
Sponsored by Sen. Parker Griffith, D-Huntsville, SB352 was indefinitely postponed, effectively killing it for the year.
The bill would have authorized affected trucks to weigh up to an additional 400 pounds.

4/14/08-The Senate Commerce, Transportation and Utilities Committee unanimously approved a bill that would increase the maximum gross vehicle, axle, tandem or bridge formula weight limits for large trucks equipped with idle reduction technology.
Sponsored by Sen. Parker Griffith, D-Huntsville, SB352 would authorize affected trucks to weigh up to an additional 400 pounds.
The bill is awaiting consideration on the Senate floor.
