7/14/08-Gov. Janet Napolitano has vetoed a bill that sought to ease the restrictions on where people can carry guns.
Arizona law already lets people without concealed carry permits to have guns in cases, holsters or luggage in vehicles. Weapons also are allowed in glove boxes, map pockets and elsewhere.
Sponsored by Rep. John Kavanagh, R-Fountain Hills, HB2389 would have permitted guns to be hidden anywhere in vehicles, whether the person possesses a concealed weapons permit or not.
