3/12/08-A bill has died that would have specified the hours of use for high-occupancy vehicle lanes.
Sponsored by Sen. Jack Harper, R-Surprise, SB1039 remained in committee at the deadline to advance to the full chamber, effectively killing it for the year.
The bill sought to clarify that HOV lanes would be limited to vehicles carrying at least two passengers from Monday through Friday between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. and between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
