5/1/08-A bill has died that sought to require companies to use the public-private initiative process.
Sponsored by Rep. Debbie Stafford, D-Aurora, HB1343 would have prohibited companies from filing documents with counties that identify and map a transportation corridor. It also would have voided any previously filed documents.
In addition, the bill would have required companies to main notice within 30 days of any public-private agreement to all real property owners within the transportation corridor identified in a public-private agreement.

3/7/08-A bill in the House Transportation and Energy Committee would require companies to use the public-private initiative process.
