3/12/08-The Legislature’s Public Safety Committee voted 13-9 to kill a bill sought to authorize a pilot program for posting traffic cameras on Interstate 95 in the town of Old Lyme.
Sponsored by Sen. John McKinney, R-Southport, SB41 would have allowed snapshots of speeding vehicles to be taken and mailed to their owners. Signs would be posted to alert drivers about the cameras.
