6/4/08-A bill is likely dead that sought to reduce the speed limit differential between trucks and other vehicles on rural, interstate highways.
State law requires large vehicles to travel 10 mph below the 65 mph speed limit for other vehicles.
Sponsored by Rep. David Reis, R-Olney, HB4263 called for allowing vehicles weighing more than 8,000 pounds to travel 60 mph on rural interstates.

4/4/08-A bill has been referred to the House Rules Committee that would reduce the speed limit differential between trucks and other vehicles on rural, interstate highways.
State law requires large vehicles to travel 10 mph below the 65 mph speed limit for other vehicles.
Sponsored by Rep. David Reis, R-Olney, HB4263 would allow vehicles weighing more than 8,000 pounds to travel 60 mph on rural interstates.

Sponsored by Rep. David Reis, R-Olney, HB4263 would allow vehicles weighing more than 8,000 pounds to travel 60 mph on rural interstates.
The bill is scheduled for consideration during a committee hearing Wednesday, March 5.
