Sponsored by Sen. Dennis Kruse, R-Auburn, SB119 remained in the Senate Corrections, Criminal and Civil Matters Committee at the deadline to advance from the chamber, effectively killing it for the year.
The bill still would have permitted “hands-free” devices.
