7/2/08-A bill has died in committee that sought to amend the state’s rule on mobile weight enforcement.
Sponsored by Rep. Nita Rusich Hutter, R-Chalmette, HB565 would have allowed the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development to enforce size and weight enforcement with mobile scales. The State Police now have sole authority to use mobile enforcement.
The Senate version – SB484 – also died.
