7/2/08-A bill has died that sought to amend the state’s rule on mobile weight enforcement.
Sponsored by Sen. Joe McPherson, D-Woodworth, SB484 would have allowed the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development to enforce size and weight enforcement with mobile scales. The State Police now have sole authority to use mobile enforcement.
The House version – HB565 – also died.
4/16/08-A bill in the Senate Transportation, Highways and Public Works Committee would amend the state’s rule on mobile weight enforcement.
