4/4/08-A bill has been withdrawn from consideration in the House that sought to add a restriction on speed camera enforcement in Montgomery County
Montgomery County is the only place in the state that cameras are permitted. The enforcement tool can be used on streets in school zones or with speed limits of 35 mph or less.
HB829 would have mandated that vehicle owners mailed citations for speeding cannot be issued additional citations for speeding at the same location unless five days have passed since the first citation was mailed.
