4/4/08-A bill has been withdrawn from consideration in the House that sought to add a restriction on speed camera enforcement in Montgomery County
Montgomery County is the only place in the state that cameras are permitted. The enforcement tool can be used on streets in school zones or with speed limits of 35 mph or less.
HB831 would have required signs to be posted at least 500 feet from the location of signs increasing or decreasing speed limits.
