12/31/08-A bill has died that sought to change how the state allocates money to counties for roadwork.
Sponsored by Sen. John Pappageorge, R-Troy, SB1506 would have based the state’s road fund allocation for counties on “annual vehicle miles traveled” as determined by the Federal Highway Administration. The allocation from the Michigan Department of Transportation now is determined by total miles of roadway.
