6/3/08-A bill has died that sought to limit the shutdown of any major highway or interstate.
Sponsored by Rep. Scott Muschany, R-Frontenac, HB1338 remained in the House Transportation Committee when the regular session ended, effectively killing it for the year.
The bill would have prevented the Missouri Department of Transportation from closing busy roadways for construction for more than 60 consecutive days.
12/7/07-Rep. Scott Muschany, R-Frontenac, has prefiled legislation for consideration during the 2008 regular session that would limit the shutdown of any major highway or interstate in the state.
HB1338 would prevent the Missouri Department of Transportation from closing busy roadways for construction for more than 60 consecutive days.
The bill is awaiting assignment to committee for the session that begins Jan. 9.
