1/28/08-A bill has died that sought to exempt alternative and renewable fuels, including biodiesel, from the state’s fuel tax.
Sponsored by Rep. John Knowles, D-Hudson, HB1355 was determined to be inexpedient to legislate by the House Public Works and Highways Committee, effectively killing it for the year.
The bill would have exempted alternative and renewable fuels, including biodiesel, from the state’s fuel tax. It required diesel to contain at least 20 percent biodiesel to be eligible for the exemption.
