3/14/08-A bill has died that sought to divert money from the state’s general fund for roads.
Sponsored by Sen. Diane Snyder, R-Albuquerque, SB118 called for sending revenues collected from the motor vehicle excise tax to the state road fund.
The excise tax is a 3 percent tax paid on the sales price or reasonable value of vehicles at the time an application for certificate of title is made.
