OOIDA Call to Action - Ohio members
May 21, 2008
Heads up: Ohio truckers! You have an opportunity to take part in discussions in Ohio about moving people and freight in the future. There are six public meetings scheduled during the next few weeks.
The Ohio 21st Century Transportation Priorities Task Force is collecting public input to help officials with the Ohio Department of Transportation make transportation financing decisions.
The 55-member task force is composed of people from the government and private sectors. Its mission is to “prioritize how the state balances the movement of people and freight, promotes safety and reduces congestion, creates jobs and encourages responsible growth, helps to build sustainable communities, and links all modes of transportation – connecting highways to rail, aviation, water ports, and transit.”
Upcoming meeting schedules are listed below. All meetings are scheduled between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.
