4/18/08-A bill has died that sought to require the South Carolina Department of Transportation to collect tolls at one location along Interstate 95.
Sponsored by Sen. Brad Hutto, D-Orangeburg, S972 missed a deadline to advance, effectively killing it for the year.
The bill would have authorized toll collection where the roadway crosses Lake Marion in either Orangeburg County or Clarendon County.
