3/27/08-The Senate Courts of Justice Committee voted 15-0 to kill a bill – HB433 – that would have mandated forfeiture of motor vehicles for three or more offenses of driving without a valid operator’s license. The House previously approved it.

2/22/08-The House voted 71-26 to approve a bill that would mandate forfeiture of motor vehicles for three or more offenses of driving without a valid operator’s license.
The bill was amended in the House Courts of Justice Committee from mandating impoundment of such vehicles to requiring forfeiture.
Sponsored by Delegate Jeffrey Frederick, R-Woodbridge, HB433 is in the Senate Courts of Justice Committee.
