2/22/08- A bill has died that would have increased the state’s fuel tax rate by 1 cent-per-gallon.
The Senate Finance Committee opted to wait until the 2009 regular session to continue consideration on the bill. Sponsored by Sen. J. Chapman Petersen, D-Fairfax, SB445 would have earmarked revenues into the Biofuels Production Fund to fund grants for biodiesel production.
