10/5/09-A bill in the Joint Committee on Transportation is intended to give people a heads up when trucks are backing up.
Sponsored by Rep. Demetrius Atsalis, D-Barnstable, H3157 would require that commercial vehicles or trailers weighing more than 7,500 pounds to be fitted with an audible warning system.
Violators would face $100 fines.
