10/8/09-A bill in the Joint Committee on Judiciary would boost the fine for driving with small amounts of pot tenfold
Sponsored by Sen. Scott Brown, R-Wrentham, S1586 would increase the fine for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana in a vehicle from $100 to at least $1,000. Violators, even licensed passengers, would also lose their driving privileges for 90 days.
