3/17/09-Gov. John Baldacci has signed a bill into law that increases the maximum gross vehicle, axle weight limits for large trucks equipped with idle reduction technology.

Previously LD37, the new rule authorizes trucks equipped with auxiliary power units to weigh up to an additional 400 pounds

3/6/09-The House endorsed a bill that would increase the maximum gross vehicle, axle weight limits for large trucks equipped with idle reduction technology.
Sponsored by Rep. Ken Theriault, D-Madawaska, LD37 would authorize trucks equipped with auxiliary power units to weigh up to an additional 400 pounds.
The bill now awaits final consideration on the Senate floor. If approved, it would move to Gov. John Baldacci’s desk.

Sponsored by Rep. Ken Theriault, D-Madawaska, LD37 would authorize trucks equipped with auxiliary power units to weigh up to an additional 400 pounds.
