12/9/09-The Senate Transportation Committee voted Tuesday, Dec. 8, to approve legislation that would dedicate revenue from a proposed diesel tax increase solely for bridge repairs.
Sponsored by Sen. Jud Gilbert, R-Algonac, SB863 specifies that half of the 4-cent-per-gallon increase be allotted for state bridges while local bridges would get the rest.
