10/1/09-A bill that can be considered once lawmakers return for the 2010 regular session would require the Department of Transportation to study the feasibility of tolling all interstates entering into the state.
Sponsored by Rep. Ric Haire, R-Charlotte, HB1245 also requires the NCDOT to report to the Legislative Transportation Oversight Committee and the Fiscal Research Division.
The bill was left in the Senate Finance Committee when the 2009 regular session ended. The House previously approved it.
