The full Assembly could take up consideration soon on a bill that would permit police to pull over truck drivers and others whose vehicles are not cleared of snow and ice. Fortunately, drivers would not be liable for snow or ice that accumulates on a vehicle while out on the road.

Truckers in Maryland, heads up! Talk about some discrimination with a capital D – the Maryland Transportation Authority has proposed raising truck tolls by as much as 50 percent while leaving tolls for four-wheelers unchanged. The authority is accepting public comments on the proposal, and a public hearing is scheduled before the end of the month.
