Attention: Georgia truckers! The Georgia DOT is looking into a new game plan to incorporate public-private toll roads into its network. The agency is accepting written comments on this strategy through Monday, Dec. 7. You are encouraged to make your voice heard on this issue.

Attention: California truckers! A proposal by the Bay Area Toll Authority would increase tolls on seven bridges to pay for “earthquake safety.” Two public hearings remain, and the Authority is accepting public comments until Dec. 21. You are encouraged to make your voice heard on this issue.

Attention: Washington truckers! A committee studying whether to build a new Interstate 5 bridge over the Columbia River is considering truck tolls that would range from $4 to $24. We’re not kidding! You are encouraged to make your voice heard on the issue.

Attention: Michigan truckers! Tolls for trucks crossing the Blue Water Bridge are scheduled to nearly double to $3.25 per axle starting in January. This is a seriously misguided plan and you are encouraged to make your voice heard on the issue.

Attention: Florida truckers! The Florida Turnpike is accepting comments about their plans to eliminate cash tolls on portions of the toll highways during a switch to video tolling in 2011. Be sure to share your thoughts with the Turnpike on this plan that in some instances could result in toll increases.
